Winford Engineering offers several types of electronic design services. We can do both circuit-level and system-level design work; we also design printed circuit boards. With the addition of our programming capabilities, we can assist you with all phases of the project.

Printed Circuit Board Layout
If you need a a circuit board made for a production project or a just for prototyping, we can help. We have experience laying out multi-layer boards for surface-mount or through-hole devices. We design the boards using Protel 99 SE layout software and then send the design to a board manufacturing house where the actual board is made.

Systems Integration
Many times it is most cost-effective to build a system using off-the-shelf components. In this case the design process includes componenent selection and system assembly/verification. Often it is necessary to provide additional software/hardware "glue" to tie everything together. We can assist you with the entire integration process. One such project we did involved automating test equipment for a customer. We took the existing equipment, selected automation hardware, wrote software to tie everything together, and tested the complete system.

Microcontrollers / Firmware / Digital Circuit Design
Winford Engineering has experience in microcontroller hardware and firmware development as well as general digital circuit design. We specialize in microcontroller projects involving Atmel AVR architecture or 8051-compatible chips, including projects that require Ethernet (with TCP/IP stack), USB, or serial connections.
